Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data DAKO collects, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We only collect what we need to answer you and to run the website.

What we collect

When you send the contact form, we get your name, email address, and anything else you choose to add (company, phone, selected services, message).

With each message we also save some technical context, so we can see where the enquiry came from: the page you sent it from, the referring site, approximate location and IP address, browser language, device and browser, analytics identifiers from Google and Meta, and basic activity on the site such as pages viewed and number of visits.

When you visit the site we use Google Analytics, Ahrefs Web Analytics, and the Meta (Facebook) pixel. These can record page views, the site you came from, device and browser type, and an approximate location based on your IP address. They set cookies or similar identifiers and run on every visit.

How we use it

Contact form messages are saved in our database and sent to our internal Telegram workspace, so we can reply within 24 hours. We do not use them for marketing, and we do not sell them or share them with anyone except the service providers listed below.

Analytics helps us see which pages are useful and what to improve. The Meta pixel helps us measure our ads.

Who else handles your data

We use a few service providers to run the site and deliver messages: Vercel (website hosting), Neon (database, hosted in the EU in Frankfurt), Telegram (delivers form messages to our team), Zoho (email), and Google Analytics, Ahrefs Web Analytics and Meta (analytics and ad measurement). Some of them are based outside the EU.

Legal basis

We process contact form data because you asked us for a quote or for information (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).

We process analytics and advertising data because we have a legitimate interest in understanding and improving the website and our marketing (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). You can opt out at any time in your browser settings, or with the controls described in our cookie policy.

Retention

We keep contact form messages while the conversation is active, and for up to 12 months after that, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Email info@dako.ee and we will reply within 30 days.

You can also complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, www.aki.ee).
