The request
The Cigarette Lamp is a 135 cm floor lamp shaped like, well, a cigarette. It costs €599, and people either want one immediately or don't get it at all. A single-product shop has nowhere to hide: no catalogue, no filters, just one item that has to sell itself. The site needed to feel like the lamp, warm and a little cinematic, and still answer the practical questions about size, plugs, shipping and returns.
How we did it
Mood first, facts second
The home page opens on the lamp glowing in a real room, with the price and the add-to-cart button right there. Further down come the scenes, a close look at the hand-finished details and short notes from owners. The practical answers come last, once the mood has landed.
Seventy-five rooms
A gallery shows the lamp in dozens of different homes, from lofts to hotel doorways, so buyers can picture it in their own space. A small light switch in the hero turns the lamp on and off. It says more than a paragraph could.
A shop that's hard to break
Checkout runs on Stripe in euros. Free EU shipping, 14 nights to return and a two-year warranty appear on every page and in the data Google reads, so the promise is the same everywhere. Automated tests buy a lamp from start to finish in four browser setups, including a small phone screen.
Running it day to day
The admin panel handles orders, shipping rates, discounts, the newsletter and reminder emails for abandoned carts. A journal answers the questions people really search for, like where the viral cigarette lamp comes from and how to style a statement lamp.
